Blog Assignment #12-M.Antoinette

Marie Antoinette was the queen of France. She was born on May 10, 1774November 2, 1755, and died October 16, 1793 (age 37). She married Louis XVI of France at the early age of 14. She was the 15th child in her big family. She later had 4 children.

Her children's names were Marie-Theresa Charlotte, Louis Joseph, Louis Hoseph Xavier Francois, and Sophie Helene Beatrice de France. Talk about LONG names! :) On January 21, 1793, Louis, her husband, was executed by guillitine at the age of 38. She became so depressed, she literrally didn't do ANYTHING. She was excecuted at the age of 37 by guillitine. Her last words were, "Pardon me sir, I meant not to do it," after she accidentally stepped on her executioner's foot.

Some of her famous quotes were, "Let them eat cake!" "I have seen all, I have heard all, I have forgotten all." "There is nothing new except what has been forgotten." " Courage! I have shown it for years; think you I shall lose it at the moment when my sufferings are to end?" "Off to her bed."
